Scientific Institutions

Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry of Chinese Academy of Sciences Institute

     Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry of Chinese Academy of Sciences Institute was founded in December 1948. It is a famous chemical research institution domestically, and focuses its research on: Resource and environmental field and advanced material field; it focuses on the evelopment of carbon dioxide resources, corn resources and rare earth resources; and highlights the development of advanced structural materials, advanced composite materials and advanced functional materials. For the past half a century, the Institution had obtained more than 1200 scientific and technological achievements, 970 omestic and foreign patent applications, 497 of which won the right; published more than 10,000 scientific papers, and the total number of papers and indexed and cited number in SCI ranked the top among the domestic research institutions continuously.

China University of Petroleum

     The University is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education, is a key construction project of the national "211 Project", a construction project of the national 985 Project of "Platform for National Advanced Disciplines Innovation", and a university of higher learning equipped with graduate schools. It is a comprehensive research university giving priority to engineering courses and coordinated development of multi-disciplines.

College of Resource and Environment, Jilin Agricultural University

     Jilin Agricultural University was created in 1948. It is a key university in Jilin Province, is one of the first institutions of higher learning with granting right of bachelor and master"s degree, also in 1993, it became the earliest institution with the granting right of doctoral degree among Jilin provincial institutions. In 2011, it was admitted in the "Basic Capacity Building Project of Midwestern Universities", and became a cooperation university joint developed by the People"s Government of Jilin Province and the Ministry of Agriculture. The College of Resource and Environment was founded in 1956 It is one of the oldest faculties of Jilin Agricultural University and offers a number of key disciplines.

Domestic Oilfield

    Daqing Oilfield was discovered in the Midwest of Heilongjiang Province in 1959, and developed in 1960. Currently, it is the largest oilfield in China, and also one of the rare giant sandstone oilfields in the world. Composed by 52 oil or gas fields, Daqing Oilfield covers an extensive oil-bearing area of more than 6000km2, and the registered exploration right covers an area of 249, 000km2. For the past 49 years of oilfield"s exploitation and construction, Daqing Oilfield created "three first" in China"s petroleum industry: First in crude output with the accumulative crude production of 1.95 billion tons, accounting for more than 40% of national onshore crude oil production over the same period; first in paid taxation of profit for more than one trillion of all kinds of capitals, ranking on the top of "100 Tax-paying Enterprise"" for consecutive years since 2000; first in oil recovery rate, the main oil recovery rate has exceeded 50%, 10-15% higher than the domestic and foreign similar fields. In addition, since 1976, Daqing has gained a conspicuous reputation in China for maintaining 27 years of stable production with an annual yield of 50 million tons, creating a miracle in peer oilfields of the whole world.

PetroChina Tarim Oilfield

    PetroChina Tarim Oilfield is the second oilfield in China. It is located in the heart of Takelamagan Desert of west Xinjiang and has rich reserves of petroleum and natural gas. Since it plays an increasingly important role in China"s energy structure, Tarim Oilfield is called as the energy economy artery of western China by economists.

    Jilin Petroleum (Group) Co., Ltd. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of CNPC.
